Job Summary Homeland has partnered with a leading national healthcare organization that delivers quality care through a network of community-based hospitals. We are seeking a Market Assistant Chief Financial Officer to oversee the financial operations of two facilities in the northwest Arizona region. Relocation assistance is provided. The Market Assistant Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic leadership and direction for all financial departments, ensuring strong fiscal management and accountability across this multi-hospital system. Responsibilities Administer general accounting, patient business services, third-party reimbursement, and financial/statistical reporting functions in line with established policies and procedures Provide direction for data processing, distributed systems, materials management, and medical records functions Train and oversee staff in financial operations to ensure fiscal responsibilities are met Assist the CFO in developing long- and short-range operational plans, including service demand analyses, resource availability, and cost-benefit evaluations of proposed expansions Develop operational and capital budgets aligned with hospital plans and objectives Prepare cash flow analyses and budget variance reports Recommend budget modifications and support managers in developing departmental budgets Monitor, interpret, and analyze hospital financial performance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives Identify negative trends and potential business opportunities, recommending corrective actions Direct the preparation of internal financial reports, including documentation for annual audits Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports that reliably reflect the hospital’s financial position Lead efforts to reduce operating costs and increase revenues by analyzing market trends, financial data, and operational practices Oversee submission of all financial data and required reports to government and regulatory agencies, including payroll tax, public disclosure, and third-party payor cost reports Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) CPA or Master’s Degree strongly preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in a for-profit acute care hospital Strong, hands-on, and approachable leadership style with a team-oriented mindset Ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve optimal results while maintaining high employee satisfaction Benefits Our client offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000–$180,000, plus a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (if applicable).
