Its team, diverse in nationality and gender, is driven by innovation and passion to bring nature’s benefits to the world.Base pay range$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yrThe PositionWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Process Engineer who will be responsible for leading process engineering activities and providing operational support in the Operations and Engineering department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This is a key role that will drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and contribute to the growth and success of Nuritas. This role will report to the Head of Operations and Engineering.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing process engineering expertise to establish, sustain, and improve manufacturing processes including yield, COGS, and capacity while maintaining high Quality standard.Drive continuous improvement by utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology.Manage process engineering projects from beginning to end.Identify and administrate appropriate vendors of technical disciplines for implementation of process engineering projects.Liaise with Third Party Manufacturers (TPMs) to execute production campaigns of commercial ingredients.Establish and monitor process performance metrics.Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective action where performance falls below established metrics.Develop and update batch records, work instructions, product recipes, and other technical documentation.Support operations by attending manufacturing campaigns at TPMs and providing technical guidance to any process issues.Establish policies, and procedures that support compliance to applicable regulations or industry best practices.Periodically review and update departmental SOPs.This role is a key player interfacing with multiple departments such as Quality, Supply Chain, Ingredient Development and Finance.50% of travel required in this role.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or related fields.5 + years of process engineering experience in large scale functional ingredients manufacturing operations environment.Demonstrated experience with scale-up, tech transfer, and process optimization of functional ingredients.Demonstrated experience in improving processes, reducing manufacturing cost, increasing throughput and capacity, and operations excellence.Proven track record in fields of root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and operations support.Understands and has worked on bioreactions, especially liquid phase reactions, liquid processing separation technologies such filtration, centrifugation, decantation, etc. and spray drying.Hands on style of working with an entrepreneurial mindset.Strong communication skills to achieve stakeholder alignment for continuous improvement proposals.DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeIndustries: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Biotechnology #J-18808-Ljbffr
