This is an exceptional growth opportunity for someone passionate about hospital finance leadership and operational excellence.The position oversees a small team of two (Administrative Assistant and Coordinator) while partnering closely with the CFO to ensure financial health and compliance across the facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership across all finance-related departments to ensure financial health and compliance within a multi-hospital setting.Oversee core financial functions including general accounting, patient financial services, reimbursement, and financial/statistical reporting in line with healthcare finance regulations.Collaborate with the CFO to shape and implement both short- and long-term operational strategies, including resource planning, capital investments, and workforce optimization.Develop, manage, and analyze operational and capital budgets to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic priorities.Prepare and interpret cash flow statements and budget variance reports, providing actionable insights to support financial growth and operational efficiency.Monitor financial performance across facilities, identifying trends, assessing risk, and highlighting opportunities for financial and operational improvement.Lead cost containment and revenue enhancement strategies using market intelligence and performance metrics.Ensure full regulatory compliance and timely reporting to government agencies and third-party payors.Serve as a hands-on leader and mentor, fostering a collaborative culture and supporting the professional growth of your team.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)Master’s degree (MBA preferred) or CPA designation (strongly preferred)Minimum of 3 years of recent financial leadership experience in a for-profit acute care hospital (required)Demonstrated experience leading teams with a focus on development, accountability, and resultsStrong knowledge of GAAP, healthcare finance regulations, reimbursement processes, and hospital financial operationsApproachable leadership style with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsProven strategic thinking skills with a track record of improving financial outcomesWhy You’ll Want This RoleThis is more than just a finance leadership position — it’s a stepping stone to a CFO role.
