Position SummaryOur client is seeking aVice President of Operationsto lead and oversee all USA operations and contracts. This role is accountable for directing operations coast-to-coast, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and aligning operational performance with both client expectations and business objectives. The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for strategic planning, operational excellence, financial performance, and business growth, including sales development, pricing, lead generation, and contract mobilization. This is a senior leadership role that requires a proven track record of managing large-scale operations within facilities management or related industries. Essential Duties Drive operational excellence with a focus on process improvement, efficiency, and consistency across all sites. Partner with the C-Suite to manage budgets, analyze portfolio financial performance, and create annual income statement budgets aligned with business targets. Lead new business development activities, including pricing strategies, bid writing, and contract oversight to ensure industry-leading standards. Build and maintain strong client relationships to extend and expand existing contracts. Oversee mobilization of new business, ensuring compliance with our client’s ISO standards, policies, and contractual obligations. Negotiate and manage union contracts effectively. Provide leadership to the U.S. management team, coaching and developing talent to reach their full potential. Lead human capital initiatives in partnership with HR, with a strong emphasis on safety culture and compliance. Represent the business at industry events, promoting our client’s brand and market presence. Oversee H&S training programs across the U.S. and embed a “safety first” culture. Create and implement operational programs to enhance service quality and client satisfaction. Monitor staff performance, ensuring accountability, course correction when needed, and fostering a high-performance culture. Provide cross-functional leadership to influence decision-making, resolve complex issues, and drive collaboration. Oversee multiple large-scale projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of OSHA; OSHA 30 certification preferred. Other Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and industry-standard CMMS systems. Prior experience negotiating with IUOE and service trade unions. Strong presentation skills; ability to deliver to executives, clients, and large audiences. Willingness to travel up to 25% for business.
