*Overview*Check out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today.McCauleys Truck Center is looking to hire 1-2 experienced diesel technicians with heavy duty truck and trailer experience. We are moving to a new facility in September between Bend and Redmond. We are primarily a heavy truck/trailer repair shop focused on fleet maintenance and roadside repair. We are now offering light duty diesel repair as well! So if you have experience in that field that is a bonus!*Duties*- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines and related systems using diagnostic software like Diagnostic-link, Cummins Insite(along with quickserve), Bendix Acomm, and standard Jpro diagnostic system- Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including semi trucks, trailers, and some heavy equipment.- Utilize power tools and equipment to execute repairs effectively while adhering to safety protocols.- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately.- Provide tire service, including installation, rotation, and balancing as needed.- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.- Maintain accurate records of all repairs performed and parts used.- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies related to diesel engine repair.*Requirements*- Proven experience in diesel engine repair with a strong background in heavy truck repair- Experience with Cummins, Paccar, Detroit, International- Experience working in a dealership environment is a plus.- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards.- Proficient in using power tools and understanding schematics for effective troubleshooting.- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel technology are advantageous.If you're someone who is a team player and highly motivated and can come to each day with a good attitude this will be the place for you Where you will actually be appreciated and not just a number.
