*Senior Data Steward*Do not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity.Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Data Steward to join their Vancouver, Washington team. In this role, you'll provide data management and analytical support to the Internal Organizational Delivery & Performance group within the Transmission Services division. You'll help ensure the smooth operation of Transmission System Operations by facilitating program and compliance requirements, managing critical data, and collaborating with subject matter experts across technical and regulatory areas.This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits! If you think you'd be a good fit, we want to hear from you!*Pay Range: *$50.00 - 56.50, DOE*Location: *Vancouver, Washington - HYBRID - 3-days per 2-week period (Subject to change)*Key Responsibilities for a Senior Data Steward:** Maintain the integrity and consistency of outage and transmission reference databases, ensuring accuracy through regular automated and manual audits.* Investigate and resolve data discrepancies by collaborating with internal subject matter experts and field personnel to ensure information aligns with operational and compliance standards.* Support system configuration and reference data accuracy by reviewing and interpreting technical diagrams, updating related systems, and coordinating changes across engineering and operations teams.* Perform data quality checks to confirm accurate transfers between systems, working with application developers to implement and maintain database rules and audits that strengthen data integrity.* Provide maintenance and update support for key operational asset lists, including facilities, transmission lines, and transformers, ensuring all documentation meets compliance and reporting standards.* Contribute to regulatory compliance efforts, including adherence to North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) standards through accurate documentation, data submissions, and audit readiness.* Prepare, review, and publish periodic reference data reports, ensuring timely updates to internal operations systems and platforms.* Serve as a point of contact for cross-functional committees addressing facility and line naming conventions, coordinating with internal teams to review and implement naming updates and process improvements.* Maintain organizational email distribution lists, ensuring consistent communication with relevant operations and compliance stakeholders.* Support internal map and system update efforts by facilitating the review and coordination of transmission maps, one-line diagrams, and jurisdictional updates.*Requirements/Qualification for a Senior Data Steward:** Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field preferred.* With a bachelor's degree: 6 years of related experience required* With an associate degree: 8 years of related experience required* Without a degree: 10 years of directly related experience required* Experience must be within a technical environment involving data analysis, data warehousing, or similar data management functions.* Experience simultaneously handling multiple assignments is required.* Prior electric utility work experience is preferred.* Knowledge of SCADA data/user interface UI is preferred.* Practical experience in data research and reviewing historical electrical equipment data that includes various software including PI, SCADA, and Outage systems) is preferred.* Basic knowledge of NERC/WECC compliance standards is preferred./*/*We are unable to accommodate corp. to corp. candidates/*/**About Motus Recruiting and Staffing, Inc:*_Founded in 2006, Motus is an award-winning recruiting and staffing firm in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in professional services and technology solutions.
