The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) delivers F-35 capabilities and support through several Program Management Offices (PMOs). The F-35 Combat Data Systems (CDS) PMO delivers the infrastructure, tools, and labs that produce mission data for the F 35 Air System, while overseeing lifecycle cost, schedule, and performance. The F-35 CDS PMO is responsible for the F-35 MPE and the F-35 Joint Reprogramming Enterprise (JRE). The MPE is a comprehensive tool suite (software and hardware) designed to deliver the required capabilities to support F-35 Mission Planning. The MPE integrates JRE products and other sources to orchestrate the data required for combat operations including Air Tasking Orders; aircraft capabilities; threats; targets; terrain; weather; jamming; deception; countermeasures; communications; sensors; weapons; employment tactics; navigation; routes; and asset coordinationAssist with establishing mid-term and long-term strategic engineering initiativeCoordinate very closely with members of Mx Sys PMO technical staff, the prime contractor, and others to collaborate on systems architecture effortsDevelop PMO roadmap integrating key data from various internal and external resources including GitLab, Jira, Confluence, etc. and automate future iterationsSupport partner and prime integrator management discussions, and assist with briefings for MxS leadershipProvide/prepare supporting documentation for the integration of cybersecurity strategy, F-35 Fleet Management, and other technical dependencies into the MxS Architecture, Data, and Business Logic models - to ensure the tech stack is updated accordinglyModel the optimal modernization path forward as defined in the modernization definition (i.e. architecture at all layers), re-evaluating system workflows, standardizing data management, establishing a consistent UI/UX framework, and building a robust business layer that incorporates modern architecture e.g. domain and test-driven development, and automated pipeline testing policy and quality standardsAssist the Mx Sys Chief Architect to produce a Product Specification for the as-delivered ALIS and ODIN productsSupport the development of a System Specification for future versions of ALIS/ODINCoordinate with other internal F-35 JPO organizations and external organizations to include the Office of the Chief Information Officer and prime support contractors on key engineering initiativesConduct searches for and identify GOTS and COTS products which can be used to replace existing ALIS/ODIN products to reduce cost and to improve reliabilityDevelop action plans for incorporating software from alternate sources, including ECPs, software sustainment plans, and plans for addressing the interfaces between software from different vendorsRequirementsSECRET ClearanceB.S.
