This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the design and delivery of high-impact transportation and transit projects, including *bus rapid transit, rail transit stations, and rail improvement projects*.Our firm values *initiative, collaboration, and professional growth*. We provide a supportive environment where engineers contribute directly to complex projects, work closely with clients and agencies, and develop long-term leadership skills.*Position Responsibilities** Lead and support the *design and management of civil engineering aspects* for transportation, transit and railway projects* Prepare and review detailed *track alignment plans, drainage design, specifications, and cost estimates** Conduct field work, project inspections, and agency coordination meetings* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget* Support business development efforts through proposal writing and client engagement*Qualifications** *Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering* required* *Professional Engineer (PE) license* in Oregon (or ability to obtain within 12 months)* 4-8 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in *transportation or transit projects** Proficiency with *Autodesk Civil 3D*; track alignment design software experience is a plus* Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities* Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook*Compensation & Benefits** Company-paid employee medical and dental benefits* Company-paid 10 holidays* Company-paid sick pay* Company-paid vacation* 401(k) with employer match* Disability benefits* Life insurance* Continuing education and professional development opportunities*Additional Information*OEI is a *drug- and alcohol-free workplace*.
