RequirementsQualifications and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCollege degree or comparable work experience in business/medical office administration or a related field preferredAt least two to three years of experience in business/medical office administrationPrevious experience supervising others required, preferably in the medical industryAdvanced working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365. Highly proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPointEffective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, time management skills, and accurate typing and data entry skills Ability to maintain strong relationships with physicians, employees, employers, insurance representatives, and patients Responsibilities include but are not limited toPlans and directs the daily activities of staff and adjusts work assignments as neededResponsible for the supervision of department staff including performance review, disciplinary/performance improvement actions, selection and training of new staff, ongoing coaching, and training of current staffOversee staff work schedules and job assignments for all office locationsCoordinates all management-approved time off requests for staff to ensure that there is proper coverage throughout the departmentArrange and coordinate training and cross-training of job duties for department staff Collaborates with clinical management team members to plan and execute process changes that improve patient care services and managementAssist with the development, implementation, and revision of department policies and proceduresMaintaining an effective system to monitor compliance with EMR data entryDevelopment and maintenance of forms for the collection of patient informationOversees close-of-the-day activities.
