Job Title: Facilities Technician II Job Function: Facility & MIS Report to: Facilities Manager Job Overview: The Facilities Technician supports the organization's facilities services, environmental & health, and safety programs with a focus on ensuring workplace safety, compliance, and facilities work order efficiency. Primary Job Responsibilities: * Routine: * Conduct facility equipment audits to meet ISO and local safety standards. * Identify and troubleshoot building equipment; recommend and implement corrective actions. * Maintain and inspect all safety equipment, fire extinguisher, spill kits, forklifts and scissor lift for proper operation * Installation and repair of workstation and ergonomic equipment as identified * Support training efforts, break down and set up events and meetings. * Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical building systems * Support and monitor facilities contractors during scheduled work * Provide routine maintenance of company vehicles * Procurement of materials to complete tasks and inventory as needed * Manage tool crib inventory and safe operation of hand tools * Use of small hand tools and electric measuring devices * Available after hours and weekends as required * Waste Management * Manifest small quantities of hazardous materials, electronic and universal waste. * Maintain waste manifests and waste tracking reports. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives for waste reduction and recycling programs * Chemical Management * Maintain an up-to-date Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database. * Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of chemicals in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local requirements. * Conduct periodic inspections and audits of chemical storage areas. * Support chemical risk assessments and employee training programs. * Participation as member of the safety committee team * Assessment & Safety Compliance * Conduct routine workplace inspections * Promote and support company-wide safety initiatives, and training sessions. * Previous safety committee participation a plus * Partner with quality team ensure ISO standards are met * Other responsibilities and task assign by Manager Qualifications: * Three to five years, experience in a manufacturing environment * High school graduate (association or higher education Degree is a plus) * Microsoft Word, Excel, BMS system a plus * Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety auditing a plus * Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazardous waste handling is preferred but not required.
