Responsibilities * Assess patient and family needs and learning styles * Communicates all pertinent information and any interventions to the physician or advanced practice provider in a timely manner. * Document all elements of care. * Create an environment that promotes continuous learning. * Advocate to identify information gaps and patient concerns. * Prepare patients and care providers for upcoming treatment. * Teach patients and their families about prevention and management of medical situations such as toxicity recognition and management. * Obtain treatment consent from patients. * Hybrid role providing services in both outpatient and remote settings. Qualifications * Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education required, BSN preferred. * Oncology experience strongly preferred. * Current RN state license required. * Current BCLS certification required * OCN certification preferred * Must be willing to travel between offices as needed.
