Pay: $30.00 per hourJob description: Certified Addictions Counselor – Camp Lejeune US Got People (USGP) US Got People (USGP) is seeking a Certified Addictions Counselor to provide high quality substance abuse counseling services to military service members, veterans, and their families at Camp Lejeune.BenefitsCompetitive Pay: $30/hour + Health & Welfare stipend Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–8:00 PM | 8.5-hour shifts | Up to 80 hours per pay period Qualifications Education:Associate of Arts degree in a behavioral science with specialized training in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment; OR Completion of a Military Department Drug and Alcohol Program Management Activity School leading to Military Department Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor Certification (Maintain a national certification credential with one of the following): National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Substance Abuse Counselor postgraduation License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Addictions CounselorImmunization Requirements (All immunizations must be current or able to be obtained prior to start date) Hepatitis B (series and titer) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Varicella (Chickenpox) TB (Tuberculosis) test Seasonal Influenza vaccine COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable) Primary Responsibilities Deliver a full range of addiction counseling services consistent with professional standards and scope of practice. Gather and provide information relevant to treatment planning and program development. Conduct comprehensive substance use and addiction assessments. Identify and document medical and psychological consequences of alcohol and drug use, including withdrawal and detoxification. Facilitate appropriate placement and management of patients within the continuum of care for substance use treatment. Why Join USGP?
