SPECIALTY: PSYCHIATRY - CHILD/ADULT INPATIENTLOCATION: KANSAS -Kansas City area and WichitaJOB TYPE: LOCUMSJOB NUMBER: 48393DESCRIPTION:FT Inpatient 40 hrs per week (M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), NO TelehealthNew hospital settings with a start of the art facility not seen anywhere else in KansasCensus at 16-20 average of operation and asked for 20 patient rounding dailyStaffing assistance with a NP who will assist with the 20 patient overflowDirect hire staff has been with the group for 15 + years and growingStart Date: ASAP and open to 2025 start date further out - Ongoing need.call: 1-2 times per month rotationWork and visit the best city to commute in with lower cost of living than most US cities.Brand new Kansas City airport with ease of travel to and from assignmentWichita location has even less traffic than Kansas City and both wonderful cost of livingSetting:Round in a inpatient hospital setting that is brand new and state of the art with a collaborative team; best medical directors to learn from and could have leadership growthDocument patient progress and treatment plans per accrediting standards. Work with a joint commission medical director.Assess medical and psychiatric changes, including lab results.Review and update medication and treatment orders regularly.Complete both new intakes and discharges.Participate in meetings and treatment team discussions with a compassionate team and great medical director leadership.REQUIRED:KS license, active and unrestricted or willing to obtainAt least 1 yr post residency experience or will consider new graduates that are truly board eligible.Additional Information:EHR is WellSkyRegular supervision and peer review of work.This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact and work with a growing entity where you can start as a locums and move to direct hire if it is a wonderful fit.
