Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Remote (Michigan Residents Only) This opportunity is offered through Medix, a national healthcare staffing agency, in partnership with one of our top clients dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare in rural communities. We are seeking a fully remote Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about rural healthcare and providing compassionate, patient-centered care for adult and geriatric populations. The ideal candidate has experience with value-based care models, risk adjustment factors (RAFs), and chronic and complex care management.Candidates must live in Michigan and be credentialed with BCBS and Aetna in the state to qualify. Quick Summary of the Position Fully remote position Working within a value-based care model focused on adult and geriatric patients Salary range: $110,000 $130,000 per year W2, full-time position with benefits Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (includes 2 hours of built-in administrative time) Providing care for patients in rural communities patients per day Start date: As soon as credentialed Mandatory Requirements Please Read Before Applying Active state medical license in Michigan (additional licenses in Minnesota and Mississippi preferred) Credentialed with BCBS and Aetna in Michigan (proof required for interview consideration) Active DEA certification Active BLS and ACLS certifications Experience working with adult/geriatric populations Experience with value-based care models, RAFs, and chronic care management Preferred Qualifications Experience working on a small, fast-paced team Experience with connected devices/IoT a plus Experience with medical or health data a plus Familiarity with multiple EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Athena, etc.) Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% of monthly premium covered for employees Competitive salary and potential equity grant Company-sponsored 401(k) plan Generous paid time off Malpractice insurance and tail coverage provided Clinical guidelines and training provided Annual CME and licensing fee reimbursement available Full Job Description Function both independently and under physician supervision Provide care to adult patients in an outpatient setting Perform routine physical exams and wellness visits Manage both new and follow-up patients Oversee chronic disease management and preventative care Respond to patients medical issues as needed Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and refer to specialists when appropriate Assess results and develop treatment plans and strategies Discuss and explain treatment options and medications with patients, ensuring allergy and side-effect information is updated Educate patients on lifestyle and dietary changes to improve outcomes Address additional health issues as they arise Perform screenings and vaccinations according to current guidelines Follow all departmental policies and procedures About the Organization Our partner organization is focused on reimagining healthcare delivery for rural communities.
