This role is part of an innovative joint venture partnership offering cutting-edge hospital-level care in the home setting.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join a dynamic Acute Care at Home team, delivering inpatient-level care to patients safely and effectively in their own homes. This is a full-time, salaried position offering excellent benefits and professional support.Schedule:7 days on / 7 days off8:00 AM 6:00 PMSchedule is fixed and non-negotiableLocation Requirements:Must reside within a 25-mile radius of Walnut Creek, CAIdeal Candidate Profile:Minimum 2 years of experience as a PAInternal Medicine or inpatient hospital experience requiredTrauma center experience strongly preferredComfortable managing acute, complex patients in non-traditional care settingsCandidates that will not be considered:Outpatient-only experiencePrimary care, urgent care, addiction medicine, or nursing home backgroundsCompensation and Benefits:Competitive salaried pay structure, paid weekly$1,500 CME allowance per yearReimbursement for ACLS, BLS, and license renewalsMileage and toll reimbursement (with receipts and submitted maps)Full credentialing and administrative supportKey Responsibilities:Serve as the clinical lead in the home for acute care patientsFacilitate admissions, assessments, and daily management of patients in coordination with the broader care teamProvide patient education and serve as liaison for patients and familiesCollaborate closely with attending physicians, RNs, and multidisciplinary staffParticipate in ongoing quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based protocol developmentMaintain compliance with infection control, documentation, and safety protocolsQualifications:Master s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant programCurrent PA licensure in CaliforniaMinimum 5 years of PA experience strongly preferredStrong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently in the field with strong support from the remote care teamWillingness to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving care modelMust pass ongoing federal drug screeningDesired Skills:Clinical expertise in acute care, hospital medicine, or complex patient managementStrong interpersonal communication with both patients and care teamsExperience navigating healthcare systems and coordinating multidisciplinary careCommitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
