Our client in the Inland Empire is looking for a Plant Assistant Controller to join their team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Own the monthly general ledger closing and reconciliation processSupport development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis for the locationSupport standard costing processLead the completion of monthly financial control procedures to ensure the location meets Howmet audit/ASAT/SOX requirementsProvide accurate and timely reporting/forecasting/planning for the locationIdentify opportunities for cost reduction and sharing of best practicesProvide support on an as needed basis for financial and control audits for both internal and external auditorsSupport development of tools/reports to facilitate financial, commercial, and operational improvementsLead development of tools/reports to facilitate operations to meet the financial planEnsure strict adherence to code of conduct and corporate policyCreate an environment where systems are used to accurately plan, forecast, and deliver according to expectationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited institution.Formal training and in-depth experience in cost accounting, financial accounting, local, state, and federal tax regulations, and financial analysis & reporting.Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
