LOCATION:Toledo, OhioPOSITION OVERVIEW: As a key leader of our manufacturing facility, the EHS Coordinator will be responsible for managing, and coordinating all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities in the plant to proactively drive programs and create a culture to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all our employees. In addition, this position will work closely with the Corporate Environmental Health and Safety department to understand the true cost of Safety in Crown Americas and achieve a World Class level at the facility.Safety is our top priority at Crown. The EHS Coordinator is the Safety Champion for the facility and is responsible for driving the safety culture throughout the plant. This highly visible role will have daily interaction with all employees and be a presence on the manufacturing floor.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure facility conformance with all applicable federal, state, local and corporate environmental, health and safety laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines as well as maintaining appropriate documentation. Ensure that all employee training is completed, documented, and maintained regarding regulatory requirementsMonitor follow-ups and corrective action resulting from all corporate and plant environmental, health and safety auditsDevelop and deliver safety training programs for all employees at the plantProvide safety training to all new employees as part of our onboarding programDetailed Injury root cause analysis and incident reportingContingency and emergency preparedness planningEPA permitting and reportingRCRA, SQG, contingency plan, profiles, and waste managementFEPTIO air monitoring, tracking and deviation reportingStorm water permitting, inspection, pollution prevention and waste minimizationSPCC, spill cleanup, planning, prevention, and chemical releaseEvacuation and emergency take cover drillsProviding data required for all aspects of SARA Title III reporting including Tier II and Form R reportsTitle V Air Emission reporting, contingency plan, chemical exposureHazard communication, SDS update and chemical inventoryNoise exposure and audiometric managementControl of hazardous energyCollaborate with HR Team on employee relations, investigations, and training mattersWork with the local Fire Department, Wastewater Treatment Plant, and other agenciesJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline or equivalent work experience3-5 years in an environmental, health and safety roleExperience in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of all local, state, and federal laws and regulationsAbility to work any shift and extended hours to support employees on all shiftsProficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various environmental software programsProfessional EHS certification preferred
