Locum Tenens Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Western Illinois Start Date: January 1, 2026Location: Western Illinois Position Overview A well-established walk in Urgent Care clinic in Western Illinois is seeking a Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner to join its team. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative environment, and the chance to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, supportive setting. Schedule Shifts: 6a 6p or 10a 10p (typically 4 consecutive shifts)Collaborative practice model with physicians and other NPsNPs may work independently for short periods (typically 9p 10p)Walk-in clinic averaging patients per day, shared among 3 providersStreamlined workflow: Take the next patient in line Clinical Scope Typical urgent care presentations include:Minor orthopedic injuries, x-rays, splinting, suturingForeign body removal (eye, skin)Respiratory illnesses (cough, sore throat, flu)Dermatologic complaints (rashes, minor infections)Urinary tract infections, STD testing, pelvic examsProcedural skills required: Splinting and suturing Requirements Active Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois (or ability to obtain before start)Certifications: ATLS and PALS requiredMinimum of 1 2 years of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferredAbility to practice independently within state guidelines Highlights Consistent 12-hour shifts (4 on / 4 off pattern)Supportive clinical team and efficient workflowManageable patient volume and well-equipped facilityOngoing or repeat locum assignments available How to Apply Interested Nurse Practitioners are encouraged to reach out to the recruiting team for more information or to express interest in this locum tenens opportunity.
