A well-known hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join their Radiology team. About the Opportunity:Schedule: 5 shifts per week including weekends Hours: 8am to 4pmSetting: Acute Care Responsibilities:Assist the Interventional Radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that use instruments to treat conditions in the body.Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipmentAdminister contrast dyesEnsure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedurePerform other duties, as neededQualifications:A valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH (can be obtained after the offer)Eligible Advanced Certifications from ARRT include the following:ARRT (CI) - Cardiac Interventional RadiologyARRT (CV) - Cardiovascular Interventional RadiologyARRT (VI) - Vascular Interventional RadiologyAssociate's Degree from a Radiologic Technology programCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)Minimum one (1) year of experience using angiographic equipment, balloon angioplasty and stenting
