It is our passion, drive and integrity that enables us to continue our focus in assisting remarkable healthcare professionals like yourself in solidifying the best career opportunities available to you.We're currently seeking a Sleep Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our amazing team.Details of the Sleep Medicine Nurse Practitioner opening:Anticipated start date: ASAPSalary Range: $96,664-$106,664 annually, depending on experienceAnticipated duration of assignment: As neededAnticipated schedule: 4 days per week 8a-5pEnjoy peace of mind knowing you can elect Day One Medical BenefitsDaily Range of Responsibilities of the Sleep Medicine Nurse Practitioner:Joining the highly productive and popular sleep medicine physician at AVH and selected outreach clinic sites to help meet increased clinical demands for servicesProvides office-based sleep services to new and established patients (above age 5; ages 2-5 with physician screening of case in advance), including management of positive airway pressure therapy, medication management, education/counseling, monitoring of medication compliance, ordering diagnostic tests (including home and attended sleep studies), ordering and authorizing durable medical equipment (DME), referral to related other specialties (e.g., cardiology, neurology, pulmonology), and communication with PCP's.Most commonly encountered diagnoses are: Obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep-related breathing disorders, Insomnia of various types, Hypersomnia, Restless legs syndrome, REM sleep behavior disorderPartners with other members of sleep medicine team (e.g., sleep technologists, respiratory therapists, MA's)Infrequently provides consultation for inpatients with support from sleep medicine physicianEspecially when sleep medicine physician is not on site or is off for the day, reviews and manages requests for prescription refills (including for controlled substances, such as Ritalin and Adderall)EMR: Meditech ExpanseQualifications for the Sleep Medicine Nurse Practitioner:Current and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of ColumbiaCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by a provider recognized by the American Heart AssociationAt least 2 years in broad spectrum of sleep medicine services; if not experienced in sleep medicine, prior experience in primary care, pulmonology, cardiology, neurology, or related specialtySubmit your resume to us today for consideration of the Sleep Medicine Nurse Practitioner opening and one of our dedicated recruiters will be in touch within 24 business hours.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
