The facility uses a mix of Cerner and paper charting and requires coverage for all ages, though critically ill pediatric patients are transferred out. CRNAs must be team players, comfortable with epidurals, and capable of working fairly independently once vetted by physicians. The case mix includes hearts, spines, general surgery, OB, and occasional head cases. Initial schedule for new locum CRNAs is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts only 10-hour shifts not accepted). Additional scheduling includes rotating 24-hour call shifts (e.g., Friday 5 PM Saturday 6:30 AM, Sunday 6:30 AM 6:30 AM), with weekend and night call required.
