TheBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)team is seeking aRadar Systems Engineer (Experienced, Lead, or Senior)to join the team inEl Segundo, CA.The Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems Engineering Team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with proprietary customers to development the next-generation technologies in space. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments. TheRadar Systems Engineerwill be a part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity development projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and deliver state-of-the-art communication systems for space-based applications for commercial, civil and/or national security programs. This position will work with a highly-motivated team that works with domestic customers on their latest satellite systems. Project assignments typically span the complete program life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite development, launch, and on-orbit operations and test. Additional opportunities available and associated with this role support new business development, research and development, and rapid space technologies. Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop, and analyze next generation space-based radar payloadsDefine payload requirements and document payload interfacesSupport conceptual hardware development reviewsDevelop analysis tools using programs such as: MATLAB, Excel, and / or other object-oriented software platformsSupport new business architecture trade studies and help drive new technology development roadmapPerform system-level CONOPS development, functional and performance analysis, and requirement decompositionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science3+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with RF sensor or radar systemsHigh level of digital signal processing expertiseSkilled analyst and/or development experience of MTI algorithmsSkilled in digital signal processing and adaptive phased array antenna analysis.Preferred (Desired) Qualifications: 5+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience10+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceHigh level of understanding in synthetic aperture radar image formationHigh level of understanding in phased array space time adaptive processingExperience with MATLAB, Python, and/or C# .NET.Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
