Job Opportunity: Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Join a collaborative anesthesia team at a respected hospital in Jackson, Michigan, providing comprehensive care across a diverse patient demographic from pediatrics to geriatrics. This position offers a supervised CRNA role with a strong emphasis on general surgical cases, along with exciting opportunities to engage in neurosurgical procedures and spinal anesthesia. Job Responsibilities Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures for both adult and pediatric patients. Provide anesthesia care for neurosurgical cases, ensuring proper management of neurological status pre- and post-procedure. Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia as required by surgical procedures. Manage ventilation and monitor respiratory status throughout the surgical process. Deliver anesthesia under direct supervision in a collaborative environment with anesthesiologists and surgical teams. Maintain continuous patient monitoring throughout the perioperative phase (pre-op, intra-op, and post-op). Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and anesthesia records. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedural protocols, and safety standards. Work four (4) 10-hour shifts per week with no on-call duties required. Operate within a hospital-based setting designated as a Level II Trauma Center. Contribute to a daily volume of approximately 50 surgical cases. Work alongside a team in multiple operating rooms, with rotating assignments based on need. Respond to emergencies and provide airway management, including intubation if needed. Qualifications Board Certified CRNA - REQUIRED Active Michigan license - REQUIRED Clean Background - REQUIRED ACLS & BLS through AHA - REQUIRED PALS - REQUIRED Must have 1 year CRNA experience - REQUIRED No job gaps - REQUIRED Prefer full-time providers but will consider part-time - HIGHLY PREFERRED License and Certification Requirements Board Certified CRNA Active State License in Michigan ACLS, BLS, and PALS certificationExperience the vibrant community of Jackson, Michigan, known for its rich history and scenic beauty.
