We have an invested interest in helping you to help others with the confidence and support you deserve.If you're as passionate about helping veterans as we are and want the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of both veterans and their families, then take a look at what we have currently available:This position is part of the VBA MDE (Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations) program.Start date: ASAPSchedule: FT / M-F 8a-6pSalary: $450/dayC&P exams (Compensation and Pension exams)No treatment and no prescribing involvedGain valuable professional experience and work closely with America s heroesNew Grads WelcomeDaily Responsibilities:Conduct assessments that help the VA answer questions about the Veterans current healthPrior to every exam, the practitioner reviews each Veteran s medical or mental health history, using electronic bookmarks that highlight the portions applicable to the Veteran s claim(s) conditionThis material, paired with the Veteran s responses captured during the exam, guides the practitioner through our web-based examination formElectronic exam documentation must be submitted within 24 hours of each appointmentCommon exams include: musculoskeletal, cardio and respiratoryAncillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on-site or nearbyThe practitioner will not make a determination of percent of disability or rating, develop any treatment plans or prescribe medicationSkills You ll Need:Exceptional clinical and communicative skillsAbility to expertly assess patients, both independently and in collaboration with physicianDetail oriented, confident, and present professionallyEMR experience is helpfulMinimum Qualifications:Master s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programNationally recognized as a Nurse PractitionerClinical experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specifiedHolds a current NP and RN license in State of PracticeBLSAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of veterans and their families?Submit your resume to us today for consideration.
