Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a dedicated team serving our nation s Veterans in Houston, Texas! This role focuses on performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments to support Veterans in need. As part of a reputable facility aiming to enhance Veterans' healthcare, your expertise will make a significant difference in their lives. Job Responsibilities: Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and health assessments. Perform interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Complete required documentation and submit reports, including addendums. Work on a PRN basis offering flexibility in half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts. Maintain open communication and collaboration with the team to ensure quality care for Veterans. Qualifications: Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in California. Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine preferred. Ability to complete DMA training to become DMA certified. License and Certification Requirements: Current California Nurse Practitioner license. AANP certification required.
