Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a dedicated team in beautiful Houston, Texas, where we provide essential healthcare services to our nation's veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This position allows for flexible scheduling with opportunities to work in your own office or at a designated facility. We are committed to delivering high-quality care to our veterans. Job Responsibilities: Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments. Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment required. Option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) on a PRN basis. Complete required documentation including reports and addendums. Provide care in your own office if a local VES facility is not available. Engage with veterans with compassion and professionalism. Qualifications: Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health. Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products). AANP certification is required. Active and unrestricted full license in Maine. Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain DMA certification. Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferable. License and Certification Requirements: Must hold a valid Nurse Practitioner license in Maine.
