Project Accountant Compensation: $30-$37 per hour DOEJob Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Accountant to support project financial operations and collaborate closely with Project Managers and leadership. This role plays a key part in project setup, budgeting, reporting, billing, and compliance within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has strong construction accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Proactively partner with Project Managers to collect required documentation and information for new project setup within the ERP system Support monthly project Over/Under reports by leveraging budgeting and financial analysis experience Review and distribute monthly KPI reports to Project and Senior Management teams, including job cost reports, change orders, and project closeout documentation Review contract documents to verify financial details and ensure project compliance Prepare monthly revenue projections and compile billing details for internal review prior to client submission Review, prepare, and maintain subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, preliminary notices, lien waivers, and certificates of insurance Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend or implement procedures, tools, or workflows that enhance efficiency and productivity Assist management with various administrative and accounting-related tasks as needed Perform basic office functions such as answering phone calls and scanning documents Desired Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction, environmental, or related industries preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook required Experience with Sage 100 Contractor preferred Prior experience working with procurement portals such as Taulia, Textura, Coupa, Ariba, or similar platforms Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning abilities Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently with minimal supervision PandoLogic.
