We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN to serve as an Educator in our Mother Baby Unit.Position Details:What You’ll DoProvide education to women, children, and families on topics such as:Heart healthChildbirth and newborn careCPR and First AidBabysitting and home safetyUtilize approved program curriculum to deliver high-quality classes.Mentor new educators and assist with departmental workflow.Participate in community outreach programs, tours, and special events.Ensure a safe, respectful environment for all participants.QualificationsEducation: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN).Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Missouri or compact licensure.Certifications:American Heart Association certification required to teach CPR and First Aid.Lamaze International certification preferred.Experience: Previous teaching experience preferred.Skills: Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to adapt and engage diverse audiences.Additional ResponsibilitiesMaintain compliance with safety, confidentiality, and infection control guidelines.Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving in class delivery and technology use.Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental growth.Why Mercy?At Mercy, we foster a culture of respect, responsiveness, and excellence in healthcare.
