Position Overview One of our Partners in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient internal medicine coverage in Hackensack, New Jersey. This is a weekday-only, no-call assignment with a manageable patient census, minimal procedures, and strong clinical support.Provider Pay Ranking: Top 15% nationally for inpatient Internal Medicine APP locum assignments (2025 market data) Assignment Highlights Inpatient internal medicine coverageNo callMonday-Friday schedule40 hours per week15-20 patients per dayMix of new patients, consults, and follow-upsTeam includes 2 physicians and 1 additional APPFull nursing and administrative supportMinimal procedures requiredLocal providers preferredTravel-friendly, short-term assignment Job Responsibilities Provide inpatient internal medicine care for an established patient populationPerform daily rounds, consults, and follow-upsCollaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing, and care coordination staffDocument care clearly and efficiently in the EMRPerform limited procedures as needed (e.g., suture removal, basic wound care) Skills & Experience Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with inpatient internal medicine experienceComfortable managing a moderate daily censusStrong communication and clinical documentation skillsAbility to integrate quickly into an established care team Licensure & Certification Requirements Active New Jersey license (required at time of submission)DEA and New Jersey CDS (required)Board certification as applicable to NP or PA role
