Primary PurposeThe Regional Safety Manager works to ensure compliance with health and safety laws. This position is responsible for implementing and managing all aspects of the company's safety programs working closely with field management and outside agencies. The Regional Safety Manager continuously looks for opportunities to improve safety thought the region and works with management o execute various programs. Essential FunctionsEnsure the development of company-wide safety policies and programs focused on reducing hazards that will lead to reduced injuries and accidentsEngage in site safety inspections, coordinating corrections with the on-site leadership teamWork with Safety to create, revise, monitor, and administered safety proceduresLead safety incident investigation/root cause analysis process to ensure the quality, timeliness, and communication of the processReview past accident reports ensuring that action plans have been carried outContinue to reduce and minimize accidents and injuries through communication and trainingOversee implementation of training and awareness programs to ensure that all employees understand their roles and expectations with regard to safety and compliance programsDevelop a regional plan(s) of action for implementing corrective actions to control or eliminate key loss sources, hazards, and implement corporate goalsWill hold joint accountability with the assigned regional and branch management for all safety issues in the fieldWork directly with branch management, claims adjusters, injury counselors, etc. to ensure complete claims management for Worker's Compensation, Liability Insurance, and Auto InsuranceResponsible for ensuring regional DOT & FMCSR complianceEnsure regional OSHA complianceKeep well informed on new regulations and develop initial recommendations for their implementation to the Safety teamResponsible for ensuring other regulatory compliance (permitting, licensing, etc.) as it relates to Safety and Risk ManagementAbility to travel up to 75% of the timePerform other duties as assignedSUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no direct supervisor responsibiliity. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
