You will be supporting the manufacturing operation by safely and effectively operating, maintaining, and setting up tooling and die equipment. In this position, your skill set includes hands-on machining, attention to detail, and a strong understaing of the tooling process to ensure efficient workflows, quality standards, and safe shop operations.Key Responsibilities: Operate a vertical knee mill, including proper setup, lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, and routine maintenance.  Understand and apply correct speeds and feeds for various materials and machining operations.  Set up tooling and workpieces accurately to meet print and production requirements.  Read and interpret layouts, blueprints, and tooling prints.  Perform off-hand tool grinding as needed to support machining operations.  Understand the progression and flow of work through the tooling and die shop to support efficiency and deadlines.  Read, update, and maintain die and tooling charts to track work progression and job status.  Perform basic shop math, including fractions, decimals, and trigonometry.  Properly use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, height gauges, and calipers.  Maintain required certifications, including lift truck (forklift) license, as applicable.  Follow all safety policies and procedures and promptly report hazards or concerns through proper channels.  Additional Responsibilites: Always maintain good housekeeping standards. Ensure tools and workpieces are stored and handled in a safe, orderly, and non-abusive manner. Keep work areas and machines clear of dirt, chips, oil, and debris. Sweep floors in assigned work areas regularly to maintain a clean and safe environment.  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred. Previous experience in a tooling, machining, or manufacturing environment preferred. Working knowledge of machining principles, tooling practices, and shop safety standards. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
