NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support our Wichita, Kansas market in a designated float role.This is an excellent opportunity for a provider seeking schedule flexibility, a variety of clinical environments, and the ability to practice independently while collaborating with a supportive regional medical team. Position Overview Part-time float urgent care roleCare for patients of all agesBroad scope including acute illness and injury, pediatrics, occupational medicine, X-rays, and lab servicesProviders practice independently with access to regional clinical support Schedule & Shift Expectations Part-time positionMinimum of 4 shifts per monthShifts are typically 12 hoursSchedules coordinated in advanceAdditional shifts may be available based on clinic needsWeekend and holiday availability preferred Floating Expectations Designated float role supporting three NextCare clinics in the Wichita, KS areaFloating limited to nearby clinics within a short driving distance Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients following clinical best practicesDeliver compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with NextCare valuesManage patient care from intake through dischargeDiagnose conditions and develop treatment plansClearly communicate care plans and follow-up instructionsAccurately document encounters in the EHREnsure appropriate coding and billingMaintain productivity and professionalism in a fast-paced setting Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Kansas medical licenseActive DEA registrationNCCPA certification (PA) or ANCC/AANP certification (NP)Nurse Practitioners must be Family-certified (able to treat all ages)Bachelor s degree (PA) or Master s degree (NP)Active BLS certificationStrong EHR proficiencyComfort treating pediatric through geriatric patientsDOT certification may be required (training provided at no cost if needed) Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in clinic experienceComfort with initial X-ray interpretationStrong procedural skills (suturing, minor procedures)Ability to practice independently in a fast-paced environment Benefits Benefits for part-time providers vary by scheduled hours and position401(k) eligibility for all employeesAdditional benefit details shared during the offer process Interested?
