Position Overview:As a Physical Therapist, you will administer comprehensive outpatient therapy services, utilizing assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to improve patient outcomes. You will delegate responsibilities appropriately to Physical Therapist Assistants and aides, ensuring high-quality, personalized care in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed functional evaluations, including testing of skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems to determine patient status.Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment data, patient tolerance, and clinical goals.Prepare and document treatment regimes aligned with physician directives, updating plans of care as patient conditions evolve.Coordinate treatment schedules with patients, families, and healthcare team members, discussing therapy frequency, duration, and goals.Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and rationale, promoting engagement and adherence.Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants, aides, and students, ensuring safe and effective patient care.Recommend adaptive and supportive equipment, assisting with procurement and integration into the treatment plan.Document all patient responses, treatment progress, and changes in condition in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.Promote community health education, representing MidMichigan Health and assisting with outreach initiatives.Serve as a case manager for assigned patients to ensure cohesive and continuous care delivery.Qualifications: Valid Michigan State Physical Therapy license.Proven experience in outpatient orthopedics and/or acute care settings preferred.Excellent diagnostic, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and healthcare documentation systems.Benefits & Career Development: Competitive salary starting at $37.00/hour, commensurate with experience.$20,000 sign-on bonus provided upon a two-year commitment.Opportunities for ongoing training, professional growth, and leadership development.Supportive team environment emphasizing collaboration and excellence.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off.Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, frequent standing, walking, and postural changes.Exposure to potential infectious agents with proper use of personal protective equipment.Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and sudden demands.Strong interpersonal skills, with effective verbal and written communication abilities in English.Work Environment:This position is primarily outpatient, working within a supportive clinical setting.
