Operates trucks with a capacity of at least 80,000 pounds gross vehicle weight.Essential Functions: Deliver primarily to construction sites Operate semi-truck in compliance with state and federal transportation laws Transport loads safely and on time, following all traffic and safety regulations Load and unload cargo and materials Maintain invoices, bills of lading, and required paperwork; submit upon route completion Perform routine truck service checks (oil, water, fuel, air); report issues to fleet mechanics Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections Keep electronic logs of activities Maintain cleanliness and good working order of truck and equipment Secure loads using chains, binders, and straps Perform other fleet department duties as assigned Requirements: Class A CDL Driver experience: 2 years minimum Flatbed Truck driving: 1–2 years minimum Load and Unload experience: 2 years minimum Knowledge of and compliance with all DOT regulations and guidelines Clean driving record Licenses/Certifications Required: Valid Class A CDL (appropriate for vehicle weight) Current Medical Examiner’s Card Work Environment: Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration Loud noise levels common Physical Demands: Standing, walking, sitting for extended periods Use of hands/arms for operating equipment Climbing stairs and entering/exiting cab Talking and hearing Lifting/moving up to 75 lbs Securing loads with chains, binders, and straps Position Details: Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday; shift hours depend on deliveries; weekend flexibility required Travel: Required Additional Information: Must pass background and drug testing per DOT regulations This job description outlines general duties and requirements, but is not exhaustive EOE/AA – M/F/Vet/DisabilityThompson Pipe Group – Dallas is an Equal Opportunity Employer
