The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, guest-focused Floor Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the service culture of one of New York City’s most celebrated new restaurants. This is more than a service role — it is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-touch environments and leads from the floor with presence, empathy, and precision. You will oversee day-to-day dining room operations, guide the FOH team through nightly service, and ensure every guest interaction reflects Musaafer’s Michelin-level standards. We are building a space where hospitality is thoughtful, execution is sharp, and every guest leaves feeling genuinely seen. What You’ll Do As Floor Manager, you will serve as a visible leader on the dining room floor, partnering closely with the General Manager and department heads to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest experiences. Key responsibilities include: Actively manage the floor during service, ensuring coordination, pacing, and gracious, detail-driven hospitality at every table Lead by example with a hands-on approach, stepping in wherever needed to support service flow and team success Champion the guest experience by managing VIPs, anticipating needs, resolving concerns with urgency and empathy, and cultivating regulars Provide structured coaching and real-time feedback to FOH staff to reinforce training and brand standards Lead pre-shift meetings, service briefings, and post-service recaps to maintain alignment and energy Monitor and drive key business metrics including revenue, labor, food & beverage cost, table turns, and check averages Collaborate with the GM, Chef, and Beverage Director on service strategy, pacing, tastings, private dining, and special programming Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of FOH staff Assist with scheduling, payroll oversight, inventory, sidework systems, opening/closing procedures, and operational checklists Work closely with BOH leadership to ensure strong communication, timing, and execution Partner with leadership on weekly financial tracking and identifying opportunities to increase sales and manage expenses Required Skills & Experience 2+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume fine dining or Michelin-level environment Proven ability to lead with presence, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Strong understanding of service steps, pacing, etiquette, and hospitality philosophy Metrics-driven with experience managing labor, costs, and performance targets Highly organized, composed under pressure, and solutions-oriented Proficiency with POS systems, reservation platforms, and operational software Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Preferred (Not Required) Experience in a newly opened restaurant Formal hospitality education or leadership training Knowledge of NYC labor law, DOH regulations, and HR best practices Wine, spirits, and beverage knowledge Multilingual abilities (French, Italian, Spanish, Hindi, Bengali a plus) What We Offer Competitive base salary $80,000–$90,000 (commensurate with experience) with performance-based bonus opportunities Paid time off  Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits Collaborative, growth-oriented leadership team Opportunities for growth within a Michelin-recognized restaurant group at a defining moment in its New York story Values-driven, respectful, and service-forward team culture Generous dining discounts across our concepts A chance to shape the events identity of one of NYC’s most acclaimed new restaurants This is a chance to make your mark , grow alongside an acclaimed restaurant, and help build something truly special in one of the most dynamic dining cities in the world.
