Ref #: C-PT-We're looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join a team in Terre Haute, IN on a 14-week contract starting ASAP. The typical shift runs from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Rate is to be determined.What you'll bringValid, active Physical Therapy state licenseCurrent CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included)What you'll doYou'll evaluate and treat patients across a range of conditions, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver individualized, goal-oriented care. Day-to-day responsibilities include:Performing thorough physical assessments and reviewing medical histories to identify patient needsCreating and carrying out customized treatment plans with clear rehabilitation goalsDesigning therapeutic exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordinationUsing hands-on techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce painApplying modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold therapy when appropriateTraining patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs)Teaching patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury preventionDeveloping and adjusting pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniquesHelping patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve their quality of lifeRegularly reassessing progress, documenting outcomes, and updating treatment plans as neededCommunicating effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate careProviding clear, personalized home exercise programs to support continued recoveryMaintaining accurate, timely patient records and following legal/ethical standards, including confidentiality and informed consentDemonstrating cultural sensitivity and adapting care to meet diverse patient needsOther duties as assigned by managementIf you're a collaborative clinician who's focused on patient-centered care and measurable outcomes, this role in Terre Haute could be a great fit.
