Summary: Neurosurgery/Trauma ICU management of emergency surgery patients that are brain, neck, and spine surgeries. NP with neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care background/experienceSchedule/Availability Requirements: 10 hour day shift, no call 7a-5p Jan 6-29Feb 3-25March 3-4March 9-18March 23-29April 7-12April 20-26May 4-13May 18-27June 1-7June 15-21June 29 ongoingFacility Location: Redding, CASetting: Level II Trauma CenterFTE:Duties:Required Procedures: Low/moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement). High risk procedures: G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement.EMR: Cerner Care BSupport Staff:Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverageCredentialing Information: Timeframe: 30-60 days from receipt of FULLY completed applicationAdditional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:Average Number of ICU Patients per Provider per day: 15-20 patients on service per dayRequirements:Board Certification Current ANCC/AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA) certified State License Other Certifications ACLS, ATLS, and DEA - ATLS is NOT a deal breaker. Will consider candidates that have current ACLS certification with substantial experience in neurosurgery and/or neurocritical care experience.
