This locum tenens position starts in March, with the potential for extension. You will work a 40-hour week, typically in four 10-hour shifts, focusing on managing chemotherapy toxicities and conducting patient evaluations.Key Details- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens- Setting: Outpatient Clinic- Start Date: March- Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts per week- Patient Population: Adult- Location: Farmington, CTBenefits- Weekly direct deposit- Malpractice insurance with tail coverage- Supportive credentialing assistance- Lodging and mileage reimbursement (if applicable)Job Responsibilities- Independently evaluate patients and document plans of care- Conduct new patient evaluations for benign and malignant hematology - Manage chemotherapy toxicities effectively- Provide expert outpatient hematology care and prescribe chemotherapyQualifications- Active CT license- Board Certification (BC)- ONS chemotherapy certification- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)- DEA license- Preferred experience in outpatient hematology and bone marrow biopsyWorking Hours- Work four days per week, 10-hour shiftsSkills- Proficient in Epic EMR system- Strong evaluative and documentation abilities - Experience in chemotherapy prescribing with certifications - Adaptability and independence in clinical practiceThis role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced nurse practitioners to excel in a supportive and professional environment.
