Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals providing essential services to our nation's veterans. This locum position offers a unique opportunity to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in vibrant Houston, Alaska. Responsibilities: Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation and Pension exams and separation health assessments. Perform interview-based examinations with some physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing. Complete required documentation, including reports and addendums. Ensure quick credentialing and onboarding for seamless integration into the practice. Work on a PRN basis with the option of half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts. Cater to veterans in your own office or a designated facility. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted full Nurse Practitioner license. Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. AANP certification. Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine, particularly with compensation and pension services. Must own a laptop (non-Mac) for documentation and reporting purposes. License and Certification Requirements: Active Nurse Practitioner license in Alaska. AANP certification.
