Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a dedicated team making a difference by providing care to our nation's veterans. As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine, you will perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in the vibrant city of Houston, Arkansas. This role offers the flexibility to work from your own office or on a per diem basis, depending on the current needs of the facility. Job Responsibilities: Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments. Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Work on a PRN basis, with the option to choose day (4-hour) or full day (8-hour) shifts. Complete administrative follow-up work including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics. Ensure compliance with facility requirements and provide quality care to veterans. Qualifications: Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine. Ability to work independently in your own office or at designated VES facilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. License and Certification Requirements: Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Arkansas. AANP certification required. Must be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
