A New York City health services organization is currently seeking a Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join one of its facilities in Brooklyn.About the Opportunity:Department: EHS DepartmentSchedule: Monday to FridayResponsibilities:Conduct pre-employment physicals, performing a comprehensive health assessment of prospective employees to ensure that prospective employees are capable of performing their job functions and to discover real or potential health problems. .Educate prospective and current employees in order to promote wellness, prevent health problems, and maintain current healthOrder, perform, and evaluate diagnostic studies for employees with identified potential health problems or employees reporting for sick call; performs and monitors therapeutic procedures; assesses and/or manages follow-up plans; reports results of tests and treatments to appropriate personnelDocument all treatments, assessments, etc. in the employee's medical chart.Record and document health care data necessary to maintain, coordinate, and/or expedite required services.Develop, conduct, and/or evaluate formal or informal in-service and continuing education programs, including new employee orientation, wellness programsMaintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standardsPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:Graduation from an approved Nurse Practitioner programCurrent NYS licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.Board CertificationANCCExcellent Phlebotomy skillsProfessional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacologyDesired Skills:2+ years of related Clinical Nursing experience
