Job Description

Elevate the dining experience at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells by leading the team responsible for maintaining our world-class standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational flow. The Sanitation and Equipment Supervisor is a Dishwashing/Stewarding Supervisor position, and it holds a pivotal leadership role, ensuring the seamless operation and organization of all culinary support areas across the resort. The pay rate for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 hourly. This is the pay rate for this position that the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education. Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence: Direct and oversee the stewarding team, coordinating the critical movement of supplies, equipment, and resources to support diverse hotel venues and events. Impeccable Standards: Conduct meticulous inspections of staff performance and production, strictly upholding the highest sanitation and cleaning protocols essential for a luxury property. Team Leadership: Take the initiative in training new colleagues, assisting with scheduling, and supporting the Stewarding Manager in all facets of daily department management. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven leadership and operational excellence, meeting the following minimum requirements: Certification: Current and valid Riverside County Food Handler’s Certificate is mandatory. Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory-level experience within a high-volume Stewarding or culinary support environment. Leadership Acumen: Proven capability to independently lead, direct, and manage a team effectively in the absence of the Stewarding Manager. Communication & Precision: Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and accurately execute complex written and verbal instructions with precise detail. Physical Demands: Must possess the physical stamina and strength necessary to lift, push, and pull moderate weight and traverse long distances across the property throughout a shift. Mobility: A valid, active Driver's License with a clean driving record (no incidents) over the last three (3) years. Operational Skill: Demonstrated skill in operating resort vehicles, specifically a golf cart with a trailer attachment.
