Job Description Job Description What you will be doing:E-filings in both state and federal courts.Schedules court appearances and depositions.Drafts letters, email correspondence, notices, subpoenas, and basic pleadings.Word processing, including proofing briefs, creating tables of authorities and tables of contents.Heavy calendaring including maintaining attorneys' calendars of appointments and deadlines as well as reminders.Communication with opposing counsel, court clerks, experts, and vendors.Overseeing service of pleadings.Communications with clients to obtain or provide information.Anticipating next steps relative to the case and documents that need to be prepared. Experience you will need:Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.Direct experience personally handling elder or dependent adult abuse cases, including work in a pre-litigation and/or litigation capacity.Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in litigation.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.General computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Professional demeanor and appearance.Strong personal focus on meeting or exceeding individual, department, and Firm goals.Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented work environment.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
