This role is essential in supporting clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and proper reimbursement.Responsibilities:Leadership Opportunity: As our MDS Coordinator, you play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional resident care by overseeing the accuracy and compliance of MDS assessments and care plans.Conduct Care Plan meetings with residents and familiesEnsure supporting documentation is present in the medical record for accurate MDS codingSupport and maintain tracking systems for MDS schedulingManage daily PPS meetings and weekly Medicare meetings, including setting Assessment Reference DatesEnsure compliance with federal and state regulations related to the RAI processMaintain current MDS status for assigned residentsPerform accurate and frequent data entry into MDS software systemsCode MDS accurately using medical record review, observation, and staff/resident/family interviewsParticipate in quality assurance and performance improvement activitiesComplete electronic submission of required documentation to state databases and other entitiesCoordinate with the billing office during monthly close to ensure all required assessments are completedQualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or universityCurrent RN license in good standingMinimum one year of experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement systems and case managementKnowledge of state and federal regulations related to the RAI process and reimbursement systemsMDS experience: 1 year requiredStrong organizational, documentation, and assessment skills Benefits: Competitive wages for  Registered Nurse (RN) Blue Cross Blue Shield Health and Dental Insurance Vision InsuranceLife insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match  We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
