Job Description Job Description Job SummaryAs a Window Covering Installer for Budget Blinds of Marysville, you are the final point of contact for the customer. You are responsible for the professional installation of custom window treatments, ranging from basic blinds to high-end motorized shutters and draperies. This role requires a blend of technical "handyman" skills, problem-solving, and exceptional customer service.Location: Stanwood, WA and 50 mile service radiusSchedule:30 hours per week but open to Full Time based on workflowMonday - Friday based on appointments 9am - 5pm Pay:$25 an hour during training$30+ an hour once completing jobs and other responsibilities Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation: Professionally install a wide variety of hard and soft window treatments (blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and outdoor solutions).Motorization & Automation: Set up and program motorized window coverings, including smart-home integrated systems (e.g., Lutron, Somfy).Measurement & Repair: Accurately measure windows for custom orders and perform on-site repairs or warranty assessments for existing treatments.Customer Education: Demonstrate product operation, maintenance, and safety features (especially child-safety cordless options) to clients before leaving the home.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve installation challenges on-site, such as uneven window frames or complex mounting requirements.Warehouse & Logistics: Assist with receiving freight, labeling orders, and organizing the local warehouse.Cleanliness: Maintain a "white glove" service standard—wearing shoe booties in homes, cleaning up all debris, and leaving the workspace cleaner than you found it. Required QualificationsMust have p revious experience in handyman work, window treatment installation, finish carpentry, or cabinetry.Technical Skills: Proficiency with power tools (drills, levels, miter saws) and basic carpentry/handyman skills.Physical Ability: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and comfortable working on ladders for extended periods.Customer Service: Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.Driving Record: A valid Washington State driver's license and a clean driving record (required to operate the branded company vehicle).Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check (required for in-home service roles).
