Our small, collaborative team is deeply patient-centered, with a strong commitment to kindness, compassion, professionalism, and clinical excellence.We are seeking an Anesthesiologist or Emergency Medicine Physician with strong IV skills, excellent clinical judgment, and a compassionate presence to join our infusion practice in a part-time contractor role.*Key Responsibilities**Clinical Oversight *● Review patient histories, appropriateness for treatment, and contraindications● Oversee ketamine infusion protocols and dosing● Assist nursing staff with vascular access and start IV as needed● Monitor patient response and intervene when needed● Provide post-infusion guidance and reassessment as appropriate*Safety & Medical Judgment *● Maintain readiness to respond to medical emergencies● Manage complications related to ketamine or comorbidities● Ensure proper use of monitoring equipment● Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation● Maintains discretion, diplomacy, and tact in all patient and team interactions*Team Collaboration *● Work closely with team members to support patients● Support a culture based on kindness, professionalism, and patient care● Communicate clearly with clinical staff and patients● Assist with continuous improvement of protocols and workflows*Values & Personality Fit**This role is ideal for a physician who is: *● Compassionate and steady under pressure● Friendly, warm, and patient-centered● Comfortable supporting anxious or vulnerable patients● Collaborative and aligned with a small-team culture*Required Qualifications *● MD or DO in Anesthesiology, Psychiatry or Emergency Medicine● Active, unrestricted Colorado medical license● Proficiency in IV insertion and procedural sedation● ACLS/BLS certification● Ability to work independently in an outpatient environment*Preferred Qualifications *● Experience with ketamine therapy or infusion medicine (training provided)● Behavioral health or chronic pain experience● Familiarity working with emotionally vulnerable patient populations*Schedule & Availability *● Independent contractor role (1099)● 2 - 3 days per week; Typical day - Tuesday, Thursday and Friday● Shifts approximately 8 hours*Compensation & Coverage *● Competitive contractor rate, based on experience● Liability insurance covered by contractor● Supportive, professional, and collaborative environment● Free parking*Professional Standards & Confidentiality *Vitalitas follows high ethical and confidentiality standards.
