At Orchid, you'll find competitive benefits, opportunities to grow, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient lives.Position OverviewTheCMM Programmerprovides critical quality support to engineering and production through advancedCoordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)programming and inspection. This role works closely with engineers, inspectors, supervisors, and production teams to resolve quality issues, improve processes, and ensure products meet strict customer and regulatory standards.What You Will DoWrite and maintainCMM programsbased on customer and company specificationsTroubleshoot CMM software and coordinate with outside technical support as neededAssist engineers with qualification and validation of new or revised tooling and partsPrepare detailed inspection documentation, including deviations from engineering specificationsWrite, update, and improvequality proceduresPerform visual and dimensional inspections at various stages of productionEnsure all customer specifications and quality standards are metIdentify defects such as scratches, burrs, surface finish issues, and dimensional variancesNotify leads and production teams of quality issues and assist with root cause and corrective actionsTrain and guide personnel on the efficient use of inspection equipmentQuarantine non-conforming parts and manage dispositionComplete all required quality records and inspection documentationEducation QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent(Required)Associate's Degree (Preferred)Experience Qualifications2+ years of experience in quality inspection(Required)3+ years of experience operating and/or programming CMMsand other inspection methodologies (Preferred)Knowledge & Skills That Enable SuccessBasic knowledge ofCMM programmingWorking experience withGD&TWorking experience withmetrology and inspection toolsWorking knowledge ofQuality Management SystemsExtensive accuracy and attention to detailBasic knowledge ofISO 9001Physical DemandsFrequent standing and movement throughout the facilityConstant handling, inspecting, and positioning of parts and equipmentFrequent repetitive inspection and measurement tasksAbility to distinguish writing, measurements, and defects continuouslyOccasional positioning under, around, or over equipmentWorking ConditionsManufacturing environment withoccasional noise exposureWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly payOpportunity to grow in afast-growing medical device companyMeaningful work helping people livelonger, more active livesComprehensive benefits packageCulture built on:Integrity First- We do the right thingTeamwork- We are One OrchidResults- Our results matterAdditional RequirementsPre-employment background check and drug screening may be requiredMust be authorized to work forany employer in the U.S.(no sponsorship available)Must be eligible forE-VerifyOrchid is anEqual Opportunity Employerand supports a diverse and inclusive workplace
