Flexo Press Operator – Mark Andy PressesLocation: Wentzville, MO 63385Shift: Day ShiftSchedule: Four 10-hour days (4x10), 5am-4:30pmPay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 after 90 days of employmentPosition Summary:Sets up, operates, and monitors flexographic printing presses to produce pressure-sensitive labels and related printed products per customer specifications. Performs “make-ready,” press adjustments, quality checks, maintenance tasks, and documentation to ensure efficient, high-quality production.What We Offer:• Competitive pay• Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates moving to the area.• $2,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days• 401(k) with 5% Company Match• Health, dental, vision, life insurance• Consistent day shift schedule• Four-day workweek for improved work-life balance• Stable, long-term employment opportunityPrimary Responsibilities:• Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and specifications to determine requirements for each press run.• Prepare printing press for production — install printing plates/dies/cylinders, set up inks, adjust rollers, pressure and registration for quality output.• Perform press “make-ready,” including calibration, color match, and test runs to meet first-piece quality standards.• Monitor press performance throughout production, make adjustments for registration, ink density, and tension as needed.• Conduct in-process quality inspections for print clarity, color accuracy, and conformance to specifications.• Maintain ink levels, blend inks as specified, and ensure solvent/ink handling complies with safety practices.• Perform routine preventive maintenance, clean press components, and keep work area organized and safe.• Troubleshoot mechanical or print quality issues; escalate to maintenance or supervisor when appropriate.• Record production data, materials usage, and quality results; support press documentation requirements.Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).• Minimum 4–5 years experience operating flexographic printing presses, preferably narrow web presses in label or packaging production.• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.• Ability to read job specifications, measure print quality, and maintain production standards.• Knowledge of inks, solvents, and color matching.• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
