OverviewJoin a highly collaborative and innovative engineering team supporting Product Verification & Validation (PV/&V) for electric machines used across a wide range of heavy equipment —including tractors, construction machinery, turf and golf products, and more. This role provides exposure to multiple product lines, diverse laboratory environments, and opportunities to incorporate automation and AI into PV/&V workflows. What You’ll DoContribute to PV/&V of electric machines by creating PV/&V plans, defining activities, entering work in internal PV/&V application, tracking progress, and reporting Activity Completion Rating (ACR) to leadership. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to define, execute, and deliver PV/&V activities using lab tests, field tests, and electric machine teardowns to validate safety, performance, quality, reliability, and cost. Interpret and implement relevant standards, specifications, and regulations as they apply to electric machines and their intended applications. Execute small- to medium-scale engineering projects while following established program management processes. Develop professional capabilities by participating in training, coaching, and development programs; maintain industry knowledge through ongoing education, conferences, and technical literature. Create and maintain high-quality technical or user documentation, ensuring appropriate file backup and version control. Work with geographically distributed testing resources, including labs in Fargo (primary), North Carolina, Waterloo, Dubuque, Mexico, and India. Travel approximately every 6–8 weeks (up to 20%). What Skills You NeedMinimum 2 years of experience creating PV/&V activities, plans, work requests, summaries, and scheduling PV/&V activities. Minimum 2 years of experience with rotating components, electric machine design, testing, or implementation. Knowledge of data acquisition equipment and instrumentation (accelerometers, thermistors, current transducers, vector network analyzers, etc.). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with scheduling and prioritizing PV/&V activities. Ability to travel up to 20%. What Makes You Stand OutKnowledge of electric drivetrain components (inverters, connectors, energy storage systems, etc.). Understanding of AI applications in PV/&V or test automation. Deep analytical knowledge of electric machine types and design, including: Bearings & insulating materials Cooling approaches Manufacturability considerations Experience with accelerated test methods. Ability to work independently, providing technical guidance on testing, evaluation, and engineering improvements. Ability to track progress toward project milestones and proactively identify risks or delays. Experience managing projects with limited supervision. Proficiency with Windchill, Creo, or similar PLM/CAD tools. Experience with electric motors and PV/&V in real-world applications. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. Standards Knowledge (Highly Preferred)Experience with NEC, ISO, UL, and IEC standards related to electrical rotating components, including: Why This Role Is a Great OpportunityPotential path to full-time employment at a globally recognized manufacturer. Work with cutting-edge electric machine technology across multiple product platforms. Exposure to diverse testing environments and global lab teams. A culture that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. Active encouragement to implement AI and automation to improve PV/&V efficiency.#J-18808-Ljbffr
