Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Suffolk County, NYFloating Locations: North Babylon, NY Coram, NY Job Type & Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time 8-hour shifts Day shift onlyJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a well-established multi-specialty outpatient medical practice-serving patients across Nassau and Suffolk County. This role focuses on comprehensive psychiatric care in an outpatient environment, working collaboratively with physicians and behavioral health professionals.Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health disorders Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans Provide patient counseling and education regarding treatment and medications Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and behavioral health staff Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentationQualifications Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Active New York Nurse Practitioner License DEA Registration Minimum 3 years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience New graduates are not eligible Candidates must have no prior or pending legal or licensing restrictions
